Time to Blog!

Hello everyone! I hope all of your Fall beginnings have been special and full of joy and celebration! I find it so funny that when I realized that Fall was approaching, I started thinking more about Christmas! Are any of you this way? Haha :) Our family has already been watching Christmas movies and singing Christmas songs! :) The other day I was in Costco walking with Ezekiel down the Christmas isle, both of us in utter joy! :) I realize I'd better start thinking more about pumpkins and apple cider while I still have the chance! I do really love the Fall and I really want to relish in all the celebration and beauty, so I think I'll try to hold off on listening to Christmas music for a little while longer. :)
One of the things that the cold weather brings which really excites us over here is this......

The hot tub.

It's not uncommon to see Ryan and Ezekiel soaking up the heat in the early morning, while mommy gets to relax a little longer in bed. :) It's pretty cute. They both get so excited. :) I love hearing Zeke's little giggles and pitter patters as he runs out to the hot tub.

I think I mentioned before that Ezekiel is very into Santa Claus this year. It's so fun!

This is his little toy Santa that he usually sleeps with and likes to take in the car. :) When we sing a song about Santa he usually grabs this toy and makes him dance. He actually used to tell the Santa that we were singing about him! Haha! I haven't heard him talk to it lately though. Kinda sad, 'cuz it was precious! :) Here are some other cute pics of Ezekiel in the car on our trip to Barns and Noble.

Ezekiel reading his new finger puppet spider book from B&N.

This is his I'm about to do something that I probably shouldn't, but I think it's funny face... :)

Over the weekend we had a special visitor that made Ezekiel (and I) pretty excited.

Our neighbors upstairs are watching this dog for a little while and we have been happy to play with it when we can! :)

Aww :)

We also have had the privilege of frequenting a neighbors house who has a beautiful garden we are able to reap from, and chickens and a horse that we visit.

Ezekiel loves to put grass in the chickens water troff. :)

One more random thing I wanted to blog about today, just because I think it's adorable, is that Ezekiel has had a new fascination with climbing trees! :)

I don't know where he got the idea to climb trees, because we have never talked about it, nor has he seen me do it. Whatever the reason, it's so fun that he wants to do it! It reminds me of true boyhood, full of exploration and adventure. This picture was taken today. Ezekiel was chasing our neighbors cat around the yard, which eventually climbed up the tree. So naturally, Ezekiel wanted to join him. :)

May this inspire us all to see the adventure that awaits us in our own backyard! Enjoy the Fall everyone!

(Sorry, I don't know why this is in blue.)
